Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-09-05
This Privacy Policy explains how Ali Buğatekin, the developer of Margin, handles your data when you use the game. It is prepared in line with Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").
The short version: we collect nothing about you. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no servers of ours — your progress stays on your own device. The only thing that leaves your device is what Google collects in order to serve the ads, and that is set out below.
1. Data controller
Data controller: Ali Buğatekin, Adana, Türkiye.
2. Data we collect
Nothing that reaches us. The game never asks for your name, email address, contacts or photos; there is no account system, and we run no server that receives anything from you. The one exception is described under Advertising below: Google's advertising software collects certain technical data directly from your device. That data goes to Google, not to us.
3. Information stored on your device
A few small files are kept on your device only, so that the game can work. They are never transmitted anywhere and we cannot read them:
- Your sound settings — sound effects, music, and their levels.
- Counters used for ad timing — only to work out when the next ad should appear.
These files live in the app's own storage area. Deleting the app removes all of them from your device.
4. Advertising
Margin shows ads through Google AdMob so that the game can stay free. To serve those ads, Google may process certain information from your device — such as device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, operating system version, and your device's advertising identifier.
Google's advertising software also collects crash logs and performance data — how long the game takes to start, how often it stops responding, how much energy it uses. Google uses these to find faults in its own software and to measure how ads perform.
This data does not reach us. It is processed directly by Google as an independent controller and is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Google is bound, by its own privacy policy and by the publisher terms we accepted, to protect this data to a standard equal to the one described here. No other company receives any data from the game.

5. Tracking permission (iOS)
On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt appears the first time you open the game. It asks for access to your device's advertising identifier so that ads can be personalised.
You do not have to allow it. If you decline, the game works exactly the same and ads are still shown — they are simply not personalised. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
6. Users in Europe
Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are shown Google's consent screen before any ads are served, and can choose whether their data is used for personalised advertising. You can change that choice later from the same screen.
7. Children
Margin is not directed at children and is not listed in the App Store Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 — we collect no data from anyone ourselves. What Google collects in order to serve ads is described above.
8. Your rights
Under KVKK and the GDPR you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request access, rectification, or erasure, and to object to processing. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or delete on our side. If you believe otherwise, contact us and we will respond. For the data Google processes as an independent controller, such requests go to Google; its privacy policy, linked above, explains how.
9. Deleting your data
There is nothing of yours for us to delete, because we store nothing. To remove the game data held on your device, simply delete the app; your progress, settings, and counters are removed with it.
To reset your advertising identifier or turn tracking off, use iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date above is updated. Significant changes will also be announced inside the game.
