Margin terms of use

1. These terms

These terms govern your use of Margin, in particular player names, friends, challenges and Write to us. Because you downloaded the game from the App Store or Google Play, Apple's or Google's terms also apply. 2. Your player name

• You choose your name and can change it once every 30 days.
• A name must not contain: swearing, insults, hate speech, sexual or violent content, or anything illegal; impersonation of another person, GOA, Margin or staff; advertising, links or personal information (phone, address, e-mail).
• A name that breaks these rules is hidden: “Player” and your number are shown instead.

3. Write to us and user content

• The only thing you write that other players can see is your player name. There is no chat or free messaging between players.
• Messages you send from the Write to us page reach only us and are never shown to other players. They must not contain insults, threats, hate speech, sexual content, spam or someone else's personal information.
• Do not put your password or sensitive personal details in a message. Our reply arrives in the bell in the game.

4. Friends and challenges

• You can find players by number or name and send a friend request; if they accept, you become friends.
• When you challenge a friend, you both play the same boards at the same time; whoever reaches the end first wins. If time runs out, whoever finished more boards wins; if it is equal, it is a draw, and a match also ends in a draw if you both agree. A match needs an internet connection; if your connection does not return within 20 seconds, or you leave the match, you lose it.
• Results are kept in your head-to-head record. Challenges have no prizes and no money involved.

5. Rules of conduct

We have no tolerance for objectionable content or for players who abuse others. Do not:

• Harass or threaten other players, or spam them with requests and invites.
• Cheat: modify the game, use automation tools or bots, or exploit bugs to your advantage.
• Use someone else's account or sell your account.
• Attack or overload our servers or try to disrupt the game.
• Use Write to us to send insults, threats or spam.

6. Block and report

• You can block any player: from the window that opens when you tap their row in Friends, or from the menu of an incoming challenge invite. A blocked player can no longer find you or send you requests or invites, and your friendship ends. They are not told that they were blocked. You can unblock them under “Blocked” in Friends.
• You can report an inappropriate name or behaviour with “Report” in the same places. We review reports, as a rule within 24 hours, and never tell the reported player who reported them.
• In an urgent case you can also write to alibugatekin@gmail.com.

7. If the rules are broken

We may hide the name of an account that breaks these rules; remove it temporarily or permanently from leaderboards, from friends and challenges or from Write to us; and suspend or close the account. For serious or repeated violations we may do so without prior warning. To appeal a decision, write to alibugatekin@gmail.com.

8. The game, ads and purchases

Margin is free and shows ads. The purchase that removes ads is made through Apple or Google; payment and refunds follow their rules.

9. The service

We may change or remove features to improve the game, and the servers may occasionally be unavailable. The game is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from using the game. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

10. Age

Margin is not directed at children. You must be at least 13 years old to use friends and challenges.

11. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the game: Settings → “Delete my account”. Details: https://goa.alibugatekin.com/en/margin/delete-account

12. Changes

If these terms change, the date above is updated. After an important change, the game asks you to accept the new terms before you continue using friends and challenges.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence are not affected.
